We are Stephen and Jennie Carbone, the husband and wife team behind Carbone Photo Co. LLC

We have been married since June of 2017 and grew up together just outside of Richmond, Virginia in a small town called Mechanicsville. We have been working as a media team since early 2019 capturing your memories exactly as you would like to remember them, with a touch of our own charm of course. We love traveling, spending time with our two beautiful daughters, enjoying all of the delicious food scene that RVA has to offer, going to concerts, and spending time outdoors.

Stephen’s passion for photography roots back to 2005 after taking photography courses throughout school. He spent a few years second shooting and learning all about the wedding industry and decided to launch Carbone Photo Co in 2019. In 2021, we proudly opened our studio space, Carbone Studios. We opened our doors to other creatives in the Richmond area so that they too have a studio to bring their visions to life in. We love being able to offer studio sessions to our clients and to see all of the magic that others are able to create in the space.

We always knew we wanted to grow within the wedding industry and in 2023, we did just that! We took over ownership of The Loft, a micro wedding and event space in the heart of Richmond’s vibrant art district. Our goal was to bridge the gap between large, costly wedding venues and backyard weddings. We believe that every couple should be able to tie the knot in a beautiful space without having to spend a fortune. The Loft is perfect for intimate weddings, special events, and catered dinners.

We specialize in wedding and portrait photography and pride ourselves on our journalistic approach. We love capturing moments as they truly unfold, but will also help with posing when needed. Our editing style is best described as timeless while embracing darker, romantic settings. We prioritize staying true-to-tone. This includes skin tones, florals, and the wedding colors that you so carefully selected for your special day.
